The latest research on Ritalin (of which Concerta is a derivative) showed that there is no long term growth difference in people who have taken the medication vs. those who have not (meaning they will end up being the same height if all other variables are accounted for). The medication can cause a slight delay in starting puberty, although the effect is not as great as people used to believe. As drugs become older and are studied more, data can be collected to see if this is still the case for the newer ADHD meds. I took Ritalin for a short time when I was 10 or 11 and I am 13 now and I am going through puberty normally

There have been cases of altered behavior as the result of refrained usage. It is quite understandable that a brain altering product such as Concerta may interfere with puberty being a brain altering process.
