The Toshiba Satellite Pro I'm using to write this answer - has a built-in DVD multi-drive (CD/DVD rewriter)
Toshiba has USB port but no cd or DV
get a external CD drive best buy
It does not have a CD/DVD drive so there is no need for an eject button.
Yes, it looks like you can. You need a CD burning drive to do this, which it looks like is included as standard equipment with this laptop.
well it should be the F10 or F12 button. There should be a hidden partition on the laptop that has the recovery CD on it. it will just load it from there. If you try both of those then most likely the recover partition is not there. Another thing you can do is either go to toshiba and order a recovery CD. Now keep in mind that some Toshiba don't have recovery partitions and you have to create your own recovery CD. The satellite series are notorious for this. I have seen this 1 to many times.
It is an extremely old laptop manufactured by Toshiba around 1995. According to Toshiba, its specifications are:A 90 MHz Intel PentiumAn 810 MB hard driveA 4x CD-ROM drive8 MB of EDO DRAM as standard (40 MB maximum)An 11.3" LCD with a maximum resolution of 1024x768 with 256 colorsTwo PC Card slots
You can connect an MP3 to a CD player through the "AUX in" port.
Yes. There are a couple ways you could do this. 1. You could purchase an external CD-ROM drive that connects to the parallel port. Using a special DOS boot floppy and driver, you could then launch the Windows 98 setup CD. 2. You could remove the laptop's hard drive, plug it into another computer, install Windows 98, and then place it back. It will likely be missing some drivers, but you can supply these on floppies.
Most new CD/MP3 players have options to have satellite radio available through them.
You have to get a cd player with anti-skip protection to avoid skipping. Both Sony and Toshiba make models with and without it.These are usually made for joggers.
Sadly I have purchased a Toshiba Tecra M8 and when I called toshiba to advise them that I had paid $1600 and some change for this laptop (cnd) and its under warranty until 2008 they brushed me off and said sorry you still need to purchase the $48.00 recovery CD. I'm so not impressed with that customer service. While I love my toshiba and it was a user error that I need my recovery CD. I paid $1600 bucks and didnt get my windows CD either. perhaps we should start a disgruntled facebook group. Grrrr I will be calling again this week asking to speak to management as I didnt get any satisfaction from the kid on the phone. I'm a 12 year tecra user. Looking at Apple books all ready :( Recovery disk are NOT included with your new computer, is up to YOU to do a recovery disk/s as soon you get the computer from the manufacturer, the steps are in your computer owners manual, each computer brand provide you with the steps to do this, IF YOU FORGOT, GOT YOUR PC FROM A FRIEND, YOU GOT A VIRUS, ETC. you can get them from ezrestorepc.com
For the Toshiba Protege R705 you press the FN (function) key and hit the TAB key. You then get the optical drive mini menu. Keep hitting the TAB key until you get what you want: ON, Eject, OFF.
