A draft is when people are ordered to serve in the military. A letter is sent to the draftees telling them when and where to report. They can be arrested for not reporting. If a new draft starts both men and women will be drafted.
Trans women face specific challenges in the military draft process due to the requirement to register for Selective Service based on their assigned sex at birth. This can create difficulties for trans women who have transitioned and identify as female, as they may be required to register as male and potentially face discrimination or lack of recognition of their gender identity. Additionally, the military draft process may not have clear guidelines or accommodations for trans individuals, leading to potential confusion and barriers for trans women seeking to navigate the system.
In most military forces women can be commissioned officers
