The US Military all ready has in place plans for a draft of women if/ when a draft is reintroduced. Women ARE eligible now in the eyes of the government, so they will be drafted.
The military draft emptied factories of male workers. -----> More women went to work to support the war effort.
During the Vietnam War, roughly about 2 million men world wide; women were part of the WACs (Women's Army Corps). The term(s) "How many men in the US Army" cannot be applied today (21st century). The WACs were disbanded in 1975.
the population of women in the military has changed over time for three decades now
Women in the Military is a fine example of why the sexism in the world is pointless. I've personally met many female soldiers. Females in the Army/Marines/Navy/Air Force is a great thing, for there are actually many jobs women can do better than males. On a side note: When the war in Afghanistan started women pilots bombed many strategic targets. Arabic people treat women like property, and our women bombed them. Irony? I think so.
Yes, there are military schools at United States military bases in Alaska. They are for the children of the men and women who serve in the Unites States military at Alaska based military bases.
Be eligible for the military draft
No, women are not required to register for the draft.
Not yet. There is a proposal from the Democrats that would re-instate the draft. As of now there is no draft in the United States.
In the U.S., women were not subject to conscription. Men between the ages of 18 and 45 were eligible to be drafted.
How many females are currently serving in the US Army.
A draft is when people are ordered to serve in the military. A letter is sent to the draftees telling them when and where to report. They can be arrested for not reporting. If a new draft starts both men and women will be drafted.
Trans women face specific challenges in the military draft process due to the requirement to register for Selective Service based on their assigned sex at birth. This can create difficulties for trans women who have transitioned and identify as female, as they may be required to register as male and potentially face discrimination or lack of recognition of their gender identity. Additionally, the military draft process may not have clear guidelines or accommodations for trans individuals, leading to potential confusion and barriers for trans women seeking to navigate the system.
As of now, in the United States, trans women are not required to register for the Selective Service System, which is the system used for drafting individuals into the military. This is because the current policy excludes transgender individuals from the draft.
Civil rights, Women's Liberation movement, the Military Draft, the War.
Eligible men were usually drafted and served in the military (mostly Army), while women worked as nurses and in factories. There were male/female farmers, railroad workers and a few other civilian tasks, but, most men served in the military and most women worked in factories. A few women served in the military, but, these were volunteers (99% of the time).
White men and women were eligible to vote before 1930 ( women got the vote in 1920)
Doubtful #1 he will not have a need for that many soldiers if his base has anything to say about it. (and they do) #2 Currently we have a surplus of the nations finest men and women willing to serve...
