YES!!!!
All astronimic objects move closer to and away from each other.
Its explained by Newton;s three Laws of Universal Dynamics. (Gravity).
Masses , Acceleration , Gravity all play against each other . So everything moves closer to and away from each other.
Well yes and no. The moon is in an eliptical (not round, more oblong) orbit around the earth. So every 18 to 20 years it is at it's closest point to earth and then begins to move farther away as it travel through it's orbit. We just saw the closest point to earth and now it will mov e away alittle more each day until it begins to start moving closer again.
No, the Moon is closer to the earth
The Sun is at the same average distance from both the Earth and the Moon because the Earth-Moon system orbits the sun. However, since the Moon orbits around the Earth, it is sometimes closer to the Sun than is the Earth, and sometimes farther. But the difference is negligible since the Sun is more than 380 times as far from Earth as the Moon.
The moon comes closer to the earth because its orbit is not a perfect circle. So there are times when it is slightly closer to the earth than others.
The moon is not getting closer but further
The moon is closer to the Earth then the Sun because the Earth's gravity pulls the moon closer. Also trillions of years ago the Earth was very big. Scientists suspect a meteor hit the Earth and a piece of the Earth broke off. That piece is now called the Moon.
No, the Moon is closer to the earth
The Moon is closer.
The moon is much closer to the Earth than it is to the Sun.
It is closer to the Earth
Mercury is larger than the moon and so is closer in size to Earth than the moon is. It should be noted that Mercury is closer in size to the moon than it is to Earth.

No, our moon is closer to Earth than the Sun is.

In order for a full moon to be observed the earth is closer to sun. During a full lunar eclipse the earth has to be between sun and a full moon.
