As of draw 1454 (Sat 28 Nov 2009) no UK lottery result has exactly repeated. Statistically on a Lottery of this type which draws 6 balls numbered 1 to 49 as main balls the probability of at least one repeat of the 6 main balls in a result reaches 50% after 4404 draws. The probability rises , the more results there are out already to compare with. It will be many years before we reach draw 4404 but After 2500 draws the probability of a repeat will be 20%.
We can expect that there will be an identical main ball result at any time, but at 104 draws per year this may not be for another 20 years or so.
The possibility of a repeated 5 plus bonus ball result is much more likely such that the probability of at least one repeat combination reaches 50% after only 1798 draws. In fact it has already happened as follows:-
