Some have serial numbers that can be found in published lists and some have a date code, but it is not easy to decipher them. Contact Remington Customer Service through their website. Many Remingtons used a 2 or 3 LETTER code for dating, stamped on the left side of the barrel at the receiver.
Contact Browning with the serial number. They can identify the manufacture date.
