clutch adjustment.
theses cars have what is called skipshift....if your gettin on it ..it wont let you shift into the next gear...you have to skip a gear.....if you get on it in first it wont let you shift to 2nd..you have to go to 3rd..and so on
your transmission is burned out, the 1st and reverse clutches are worn out
clutch gone try putting into gear then start engine be ready to shut engine off
1st gear will always be your lowest gear no matter what bike you are on.
First of all you need to check if you have enough transmission fluid in the system. If you the level is right, you have to bring the car to your mechanic. Actually even Toyota almost does not fix transmission they just replace it, if it has general mechanic failure.
A bad solenoid is likely the reason why your 1994 Chevrolet S10 Blazer won't shift into 1st or 4th gear. Getting it replaced should fix the issue.
Sounds like 1st gear synchros or the gear itself, box needs stripping to be sure.
My 1999 Jeep Wrangler also pops out of 1st gear once in awhile. From what I have gathered it could be worn out linkage, a worn out syncronizer & springs, rubber transmission mount, or a worn out 1st gear itself. (Good time to also check the clutch friction disk). I changed out first gear on a British Triumph Sports car years ago, but don't really want to on the jeep .... George B.
Well somone correct me if im wrong you need a new tranny. Considering you have to skip to 1st you mise well get a manual.
Because it require more effort to move on the 1st gear than say the 5gear. the revolution of the engine is high and distance covered is less on the 1st gear and vise versa.
check your transmission fluid when the car is running
my car is not working in 1st gear
