I have been told that if you disconnected and reconnected the battery a code gets set that prevents the vehicle from starting ? You have to use a cigarette lighter adapter to maintain voltage to the computer or take it into a dealership who can reset the computer code .
I can't swear by that answer, but its worth a call to a real mechanic to ask.
look at the ground wire it should be black Also check the fuse Have your neutral safety switch checked. If you don't have any bad fuses and you've changed the bulbs, most likely it's your neutral safety switch. It's located on your transmission.
Where is the vacuum pump for the heater located in a 1995 Ford F-250 Diesel? Ihave already changed the thermostat and the antifreeze, checked the heater switch and still no heat! Help
change the brake light switch
Have you checked the drl relay?
No, there shouldn't be a spark inside a light switch when it's turned on. If you notice a spark, it could be a sign of a potential wiring issue or a faulty switch that needs to be checked and repaired by a professional electrician.
Probably the ignition switch. HavE IT CHECKED OUT> neutral safety switch......located under the shifter panel
It should work... perhaps you made some mistakes.
depending on vehicle type, there should be a switch box on the transmission where the shift lever/cable attatches which has probably gone bad. the other type of reverse switch is located on your shifter. check these, assuming all fuses have been checked and are ok.
The turn signal flasher is incorperated with the Hazard lamp switch. The switch must be changed, then the directional lamps will work correctly.
I would check the brake light switch first. It's a common problem. The switch is located down on the brake pedal and is easy to change. Use a 12 volt test light to check for power at the switch. You've changed the bulbs or checked for voltage at the brake light sockets first?
The oil pressure switch is located on the oil filter adapter. Find the oil filter and you should see the oil pressure switch.
Done correctly, indefinitely.
