a 4 number code is needed to reactivate the radio (it is deactivated when the battery is disconnected and other relevant reasons) Whoever sold you the car must have the code, unless he never bothered about the radio/cassette.
You can ask to a Renault dealer. They have acces to Renault database and can give you these code free of charges!
You can get the radio codes online - but you have to pay for it. You will need the radio serial number - the instructions are on the site. I got mine from instant radio codes (google it) for £15 and it worked fine. Martin

if your battery was removed and your radio is asking for code then you must contact your Toyota dealer. there was a code installed from factory that they may be able to help with. also when you get it fixed read your owners manual on how to change the radio code to one you will remember.

The dealer has the unlock code for your radio. Call them with the serial number of your radio for the code.

Radio unlock codes are specific for each individual radio. You will have to remove the radio and find the serial number. Call the dealer with this information and they can give you the code.
