I would say so. Mobile phones are a very good divice if they are being used for what they were built for, as a portable phoning divice.
When people have got hurt on walks up mountains or along moorlands, if that person has a mobile, they can ring the air ambulance to save them.
Plus, imagine if you crashed your car, your passenger was hurt and there was no one around to help. Just dial 999 and there you go, ambulance on it's way! :)
So, basically, mobile phones HAVE saved lives :)
