I do not believe that Ford has in the past ever made any diesel cars, although the Ford Reflex is in the works - a hybrid consisting of diesel fuel, solar power, and electric-batteries. Also, a concept of a Ford Fiesta has been created in Europe, google that some time. The UK branch of Ford has begun to produce the Mondeo, a diesel powered sedan/wagon. Hope this helps!
Ford Mondeo sales were high in 2002. Ford Mondeo was the fifth highest selling car in the entire UK in 2002.
