yes. it will take between 8 and 12 weeks to heal completely and constant pain should slowly go down between first two weeks but i still got pains every now and then up until around 6 weeks. i guess it'll all depend on what you had done. i had an appendix done. but yes normal for it to be sore at a week

You might be having some premature contractions. If not relieved by rest and the contraction increased in frequency then have your self check.
