I think you shouldn't blame him with you, and that you should let go of him now better than later, so you wouldn't hurt him more when he just keeps loving you more and more everyday. Because if you're here and you're asking this question, then you really don't love him the way he loves you, and probably you never will, so just tell him that you don't feel the same way, and that it's best if you stayed as friends. He'll be upset at first, but less hurt than he would have been if you would've waited any longer. And then eventually he'll meet someone else, and this person will love him the same amount of love and maybe even more, and they'll deserve each other. So don't blame him or yourself, and just let go, so you could each find your own happiness and real love with someone else.
