Not necessarily true.

Patience is good. But that doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get what you want.

At the same time, by being patient, it's possible that 'in time' - - it just might come your way.

For example: let's say you are 12 years old; and you want to get your drivers licence. If you are patient; and you use your remaining time to learn about being 'responsible'; then when you finally become 16 (or so), your parents might just let you get your license.
