It varies by state and county. I'm in California and the costs are roughly as follows:
You must submit plans ($400-1600 in our county), then purchase a health permit after approval ($200-800 in our county), then have health inspections 1,2, or 3 times a year (included in the cost of permit).
Reinspections after failures or other time spent by the health department outside of the permit schedule is charged at a predetermined rate (currently $145/hr in our county)
Pa state emissions costs $30 and inspection costs $25. What a joke, right?

The Massachusetts annual inspection process costs $29. You pay the inspector whether or not your vehicle passes inspection. Some stations accept credit cards. Others are cash only.
you will have to read your contract agreement that you signed for the tenant/landlord relationship.
well if everybody were physically fit nobody would actually have to worry about health costs.
Costs in one area will effect the costs locally as providers seek deals. If something can be found cheaper in a different region they will order it from there.
Those parts of your health care costs that are not covered by your insurance.
