Follow the 2 small heater core hoses from the passenger side near the fan motor. About a foot down you will see a small black plastic device with a small gray vacuum hose connected to it. This is the heater control valve. Depending on your model it could have 2, 3, or 4 hoses connected to it. I just replaced mine for around $20. It took 15 minutes to replace. DO NOT WORK ON THIS ITEM WITH A HOT ENGINE!!!

Heat control is by air flow control doors in the a/c and heater box. There is no water valve.
