check all the basics, and read up on diagnosis of more difficult items in a manual... fuel filter, plug wires, check engine light on? spark plugs etc etc etc etc etc etc etc...get it? Everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the library should have a professional shop manual available, for FREE, in the reference section(make copies of the correct sections) read up and fix it like a PRO! :) good luck-Dave

May be an auto resetting breaker in the main power dist. box under hood
If the engine size is the same, probably
If that S10 has the 2.8L engine, the fuel filter should be found up in front of the engine close to the power steering pump.
The spark plug gap for the 1987 Chevrolet S10 4-wheel drive pickup with the 2.8 liter TBI 6-cylinder engine is .045 (in thousandths of an inch). The spark plug tightening torque is 7-15 foot pound.
On 87 and 88 s10 the speed sensor or vss is under the dash atached to a bracket it is a blue box about 3 inches square. It is not on the tail shaft or t-case on a 4x4
