Hi i am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant but my baby's heart beat is just a flicker what does that mean I am so scared?

Even though you can not hear the fetal heartbeat until week 9 or 10. Ultrasound is able to see a beating heart much sooner. An ultrasound can pick up the heartbeat as a "flicker" in the chest as early as 4 weeks. I wouldent worry, by the 12 week the baby's heartbeat can be heard using a monitor. Do not worry if the baby is fine you will hear the heartbeat eventually. The important thing is that his little heart beats. When you hear it for the first time, it is the most amazing sound in the world. Feel free to ask your doctor these questions, even if you look like an idiot at least then you willl know.
