If we don't learn from the past we are doomed to repeat it. Today teaching history in some schools is just about gone. As Washington pointed out that for a democracy to work education was the most important thing to teach how government works and to understand the past. Things like false news wouldn't be believed when people know their history, government, and what is required for a democracy.
