My Great Grandfather, Joseph Hess, was a foreman at Enterprise MFG as well as my Grandfather in the early 1900's well through the mid 1900's. It was told to me that My Great Grandfather invented the meat grinder, but I believe he invented a prototype that was different from others at that time. Because he did it at work (he was a tool and die maker), Enterprise patented it. We were given a prototype, which i use to this very day for my Grandmothers recipe's!
