If you'd like to try to persuade them to watch a horror movie with you, here are a few tips you could try:
Choose a movie that is not too intense: Start with a horror movie that is not too graphic or intense. This will give your friend a chance to get used to the genre and build up their tolerance for scarier content.
Watch the movie in a comfortable and familiar setting: Watching a horror movie at home, where you both feel safe and comfortable, may make your friend feel more at ease. You could also consider watching the movie during the daytime to make it feel less intimidating.
Take breaks: If your friend starts to feel overwhelmed or too scared, take a break and step away from the movie for a few minutes. This will give them a chance to calm down and come back to the movie when they feel ready.
Talk about it beforehand: Having a conversation about the movie beforehand can help your friend feel more prepared and less anxious about watching it. You could discuss what to expect from the movie, and reassure your friend that it is just a movie and not real life.
Respect their boundaries: If your friend still feels too scared to watch the movie, it's important to respect their boundaries and not push them to do something that makes them uncomfortable. There are plenty of other things you can do together that don't involve watching a horror movie.
