use wiring tool it is number 4 or 5
razor knife works better and faster.i use my pliers to strip wire in a pinch but always use the right tool for the job!
To strip wire, you can use a wire stripper tool by adjusting it to the appropriate gauge of the wire, then placing the wire inside the tool and squeezing the handles to cut through the insulation. Another method is to use a utility knife to carefully cut around the insulation and then pull it off. Always be careful not to cut into the actual wire while stripping.
A punch down tool is used for inserting wire insulation-displacement connectors on a punch down tool. It is a small hand tool that is used by network and telecommunications technicians.
Either you'd use a test light or you'd use a multimeter.
First, you get a long wire (12 inches). Then, you get a nail and wrap the wire around the nail, but leave at least 1 inch of wire on each side. The use the ends of the wire and put it on the big magnet and it will pick up magnetic things.
If it is a push on type of wire connector you should be able to use a small bladed screwdriver that fits into the slot.
Sure it can, but an Underground Wire Finder is the proper tool to use. More accurate and you can easily follow the wire from point A to point B and it can tell you how deep it is.
you use plastic wrap for covering something.
To make a homemade magnet, you will need three specific items: a nail, thin piece of copper wire, and a D-cell battery. Wrap the copper wire around the nail without overlapping leaving extra wire on each side of the nail. Take the wires that were left and wrap one on each side of the battery. Use electrical tape to secure it down if needed.
There are several good choices of wire to use when making a butterfly wire sculpture such as copper or steel. When making a sculpture from wire there should be a clear plan of action even if the whole sculpture's outcome is not planned. Materials needed would be the wire, wire cutters, and a tool to bend the wire. Also, depending on the complexity of the project, a welding tool may be needed as well. Making a drawing of the idea would help with planning the tools needed to make the sculpture.
Depending on the size of the wire, you can use wire-nuts for the smaller gauges Do not twist solid and stranded wire together when you use wire-nuts. Just lay the exposed conductor side by side and apply the wire-nut. If you wrap the two wires together, it was found, some connections have pulled apart due to the wire-nut not biting into the solid wire as the stranded wire was wrapped around it. Split bolts for the larger sizes and Allen key wire lugs bolted together for big size wire.
