But after Anne or Annie Sullivan Macy changed that around for her, Helen began making conferences for the blind, mute and deaf, teaching them what Helen has learnt with Anne/Annie. She made people believe that being blind, mute or deaf wasn't MUCH of a bad thing, but that they can still learn like other people in their lives.
