Its really simple.
Step1: You get a male guinea pig.
Step2: You get the female.
Step3: You get them a NEW CAGE
Step4: You put the male in first
step5: You put the female in after.
Step6: You leave them alone
Step7: you watch them for a few days
Step8: Once you think the female is pregnant, you take the male away and wait for your arrival.
PS: My guinea pig gave birth without help in fact i didnt even konw it was giving birth and i have a healthy baby so if your guinea pig is going into labor don't freak out just let it do it its own way. They are born with eyes open hair and teeth so they CAN eat solids once born but they mostly feed off the mom for awhile before eating regular solid foods. i recommend giving the mom Oranges and broccoli because guinea pigs need a good source of vitamin c
Hope this helps :)
You can't breed it if there is not another animal for it to breed with.
Depends on the size of the guinea pig and it's breed.
Ok, a crested guinea pig and, I'm guessing you are referring to an abyssian guinea pig (not a cat) CAN breed. They are NOT two different species of animals. They are different BREEDS. Both are guinea pigs, so they can breed. Think of a lab (dog) and a dachshund (dog)........they, too, are different BREEDS, but the same SPECIES (dog)......so, they can also breed.
it depends on its breed.
No you cannot.
The most common breed of guinea pig is American short haired. They are easy to groom and handle.
Obviously you need another to breed so put up posters asking for what you need. Maybe put an add in your local paper.
You can't ... you must have a boy and a girl. So ... buy another, borrow one from a friend, rent one. Your choice.
The Skinny Pig. Its practically bald.
That's just their colour/breed. It is a cute breed!
