While Natural Glass has been used since the stone age, the earliest man-made glass objects, which were mainly glass beads, date to around 3500 BC, and are found in Egypt and Mesopotamia.

However the oldest glass vases date back to the the 16th century, Mesopotamia. About that time in Egypt, Mycenae, China and North Tyrol the manufacturing of "hollow" glass was occurring.

(Much later, blown glass was invented, but that was not seen until around 27BC-AD 14.)
