I have a 2002 LE. It has a 4 cyl engine and I get 28-32 mpg. I have gone 28 miles after the light came on. I suggest filling up as soon as you can get to a station. The lower the fuel, the more trash in the bottom of your gas tank, that your engine has to try and burn, eventually causing serious problems with injectors and so on.
If you absolutely need to know, carry a one gallon can with you until you run out, and hopefully you are not pulling in front of an 18 wheel tractor trailer rig when your engine does stop.
