How many times does a cock crow?

It depends on the rooster really, but an individual rooster can crow many, many times a day, throughout the day. Usually, the number of crows increases if there are other roosters around, especially if the rooster considers them rivals.

Roosters don't have to crow early in the morning. My rooster crows all day, and our neighbor's old chicken crowed all the time. They don't really crow in the morning.

Ust got 2 baby chickens and one is a rooster he is so lovely and ive trained them to thinking the morning begins at 1 oclok in the afternoon. but they are still indoors with me. will they change wh?

When put outside, the rooster will most likely crow more. They crow at any time of the day or night, often to call to the other chickens. Also to warn of danger, challenge another rooster, etc. They don't crow just because the sun comes up, that's just when they first become active everyday.

Why do roosters make noise early in the morning?

Roosters crow for many reasons but most often to let his hens know where he is and where they should go for safety. They can crow for territorial reasons letting the other roosters know he is the boss and challenging the others. Sort of like this is my territory if you want it come challenge me for it. When a hen is ready to lay an egg she will cackle, instead of crow, to announce to the rooster that she wants to go to her nest. The rooster will began to cackle signaling to the hen that he is watching out for her safety so that she may proceed to the nest. When she is ready to leave the nest she will cackle to the rooster. If it is safe for her to leave the nest he will begin to cackle until she is back to safety.

My rooster can't crow. he sounds like he is sick. why?

He probably has a cold or something which is affecting his ability to crow as it I'd probably painful for him. When he's better I'm sure he'll be crowing all day and rule the roost once more! :D

Will a baby rooster crow around an old rooster?

Absolutely yes. The young rooster (cockerel) will make his first practice crows at about 3 to 4 months old and keep going from there. Even if he is the only male in the flock he will do this but if there already is a grown rooster among the hens the young one will mimic the old guy quite readily. Roosters use crowing to communicate and the two of them will voice their concerns back and forth all day.

What time of day do roosters start crowing?

There is no "certain" time of day that roosters crow. Many things can cause a roosters alarm to sound off; things in the enviroment, and intruder, having a "crowing fight" with the rooster down the street, etc
