If you’ve ever tried to apply eye liner, you know it is one of the trickiest make up products to apply correctly, so you don’t end up with ‘panda’ eyes, or look like you’ve been in a fight. Most people will start with eyeliner pencil, but using liquid can have absolutely stunning effects if applied properly. Here’s how: -Step 1: A good brush You will need a good eyeliner brush. It should be small, with a thin end and very durable. -Step 2: Choose your look How much eye liner you want, and how thick you apply it, will depend on where you intend to go. If you are going out to a party, you will probably apply more make up than if you are going to work. -Step 3: Hold the lid taut Start at the outside of the top lid and carefully apply a line going towards the inner eye. Apply using short, thick strokes. Try to draw into the lash rather than away from it. -Step 4: Smudge Use a cotton swab to smudge the eye line slightly, to create a less dramatic, smokey look. -Step 5: Eye shadow Apply eye shadow on top of the liner to hold the liner in place while you are out. Applying to the lower lid often looks too overdone. However, applying to the outside corner of the lower lid to create an elongated look is perfect for a night on the town. If applied correctly, liquid eye liner can be a great asset to your make-up routine.
