The inertia switch is generally located in the trunk. The purpose of it is to shut off the current to the fuel pump in case of an accident. It can be reset and very seldom has to be replaced.
On a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria : The fuel pump inertia switch ( shut off switch ) is in the trunk , behind the trunk liner on the drivers side ( there is an access hole )
There is just ( 1 ) fuel pump inertia switch , a fuel pump relay , and a fuse for the fuel pump relay
That would be an inertia switch. It shuts off the fuel pump in the event of an accident.
Look in the trunk behind the side panel on the driver's side. If not there, then the passenger side kick panel.
Do you mean that when you turn the key the car sounds like it is starting but in the end it does not? If so, then it might be the inertia switch. It is located in the trunk, there might be a sticker near it, when located, reset it.
On a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria : The air suspension switch is in the trunk , on the drivers side ( there should be a label beside the switch )

The 199x and newer Crown Vics have a door position sensor not a Pin Switch. Hope this helps! Radioman
The 1987 Ford Crown Victoria fuel pump relay switch can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The relay switch will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1997 Ford Crown Victoria hazard lights switch. Remove the hazard light switch retaining screws. Reverse the process to install your new hazard light switch.
