The problem with bulemia is that you take in (normal cases of bingeing and purging) about 20,000 calories and when you throw up you are only expelling half of those calories which would be about 10,000 calories which is about 7-8,000 more than you need. If you are looking to lose weight I suggest a vegan/vegetarian diet you will feel healthier as well as look healthy(on the skinny side of healthy). I have been a vegan for over a year now (i am 17 and plan on being a nutritionist/dietician) and I lost about 10 pounds in 4 months, which, considering I only weighed roughly 120 pounds is quite a bit of weight to lose that quickly while still eating normal meals. If you are throwing up because you are in pain (mentally/emotionally) you should find someone to talk to (if you would like to talk to me or ask me some questions my E-mail is feruslovessophie@hotmail.com) I went through something like that my sophmore year of high school and I was later diagnosed with Bi-Polar depression after being hospitilized twice. I went a type of bulimic/anorexic episodes and cut myself so if this is the reason for you vomiting I just want you to know that you are better off talking to your docter to see if he/she will put you on medication and seeing a counsler. If seeing a counsler is out of the question for you then E-mail me; I have read many psychology books and put what I've learned into practice. If not then I hope you will do well to clear up this problem (by the way if you want to E-mail for whatever reason that is fine too)
your body will start digesting calories as soon as you swallow. you're also retaining water, which could explain the weight gain. if you're not getting everything out of your body then you're not doing any justice
bulimia nervosa isn't a weight catergory. you can be 235lbs and be diagnosed with bulimia... its a mental thinng that has physical symptoms. Its not just about throwing up. its the thoughts running through your head whilst your at it. anyone could eat a dinner and then immitate ones behaviour and be sick. that's not bulimic . a bulimic purges because of an intense fear of gaining weight and a persistant dream of losing weight. when eaten a bulimic feels an overwhelming feeling of guilt inside that he/she cannot cope with and desposes of it by actions on the outside ( purging).bulimia is not an affective weight loss method or fad diet it is a illness and dangerous. it is highly addictive and i don't recommend it. i was diagnosed 3 years ago....maybe 4 ... time just flys by when your not really in it....
Not all bulimics throw up. Bulimia is binging & purging. Purging can be throwing up, but it can be also through laxatives, over exercising, or fasting. A bulimic has to be a binge eater, a binge is eating a ton of food in a short amount of time. Such as 3,000 calories in a half hour. The bulimic has no control over this. Bulimia is not just throwing up!!
You could technically be considered bulimic after the first time you force yourself to throw up to lose weight. (Having the flu, or are sick, or food poisoning, ect. doen't count!) Most people, however, would begin to label someone / themselves as bulimic nce throwing up, bingeing, purging, and all that goes along with it become routine or at least happen pretty frequently.
It is very likely and possible. An intense fear of gaining weight and a habit of skipping meals is a common sign of anorexia, and the purging (throwing up) after meals is also a sign of another eating disorder known as bulimia.

Yes you can gain weight being bulimic. The hardcore bulimics who actually lose weight from being bulimic are the ones who are dying. They are no different than the people who are malnourished and starving. Is it worth it? NO. If you want to lose weight and not lose control over your life then just calorie count and exercise. There is no shortcuts. Unless you can afford surgery but then you have to be able to risk it. EVERYONE i know who has had some type of weight loss surgery had severe complications.
no but your body turns to chocolate
if you want to be bulimic
The most suitable way of gaining weight is to eat more frequently.
Anorexia and bulimia are very serious eating disorders. People who are anorexic or bulimic can lose as much or as little weight possible. Some people can be 10 pounds underweight, some can be 40 pounds underweight. If you know someone who is anorexic or bulimic tell them that you are worried about them and strongly encourage them to get professional help.
Most athletes are in the business of gaining weight. But with weight gaining foods is not about how much you but is more about what you eat. The most popular foods is Whey Protein and dairy products.
being bulimic is where you make yourself throw up to try to lose weight
