Best Answer

In nature, animals, birds and insects prey on each other. Take the simple case of the ladybird... A ladybird feeds on aphids - therefore, a gardener with an aphid infestation could introduce a number of ladybirds into his garden, greenhouse or whatever - and they would eat the aphids - without destroying the plants in the process. The presence of the ladybirds would keep the aphids under control - without the use of pesticides.

My advice: If you want to control pests in your home, get a terrier or a cat. Both of these animals have hunting instincts and will kill small animals in the house. No training is needed unless you want to. (Trust me, I have a rat terrier.)
