What part of the body has cones in it has cones in it?

The eye .In there eye there is rod cells and cone cells. Rod cells detect color and Cone cells detect black and white. The cone cells let you see in the dark.

Is a parabola formed when a plane slices through a double cone perpendicular to the bases of the cone?

No. A hyperbola is formed when a plane slices a cone perpendicular to the bases.

Do bobcats have more rod cells or cone cells?

like us humans, a bobcat has more rod cells than cone cells

What is produced when you slice a cone with a that is parallel to the base of the cone?

The interception of a plane with a cone parallel to the base of the cone is a circle.

If a right circular cone is intersected by a plane that passes through only one nappe of the cone but is not parallel to an edge of the cone what shape is produced?

An ellipse is produced.

What is the figure called formed by the intersection of a right circular cone and a plane that lies parallel to the edge of the cone?

A parabola is the figure formed by the intersection of a circular cone and a plane that lies parallel to the edge of the cone. (the cone does not have to be a right [90°] circular cone).

Produced when you slice a cone with a plane that is parallel to the base of the cone?

A circle.

What are the receptors in the eye?

You have rod cells and cone cells as receptors in your eye. Rods are for intensity of the light. Cone cells are for color vision.

What is the function of a cone cell?

Cone cells, or cones, are photoreceptor cells in the retina of the eye which function best in relatively bright light. The cone cells gradually become sparser towards the periphery of the retina.

What type of cone does mount shasta have?

Mount Shasta as formed a composite cone.

What is produced when you slice a cone with a plane that is parallel to the bass of the cone?

The points where the cone and plane intersect will form a circle.

What is produced when you slice a cone at different angles?

When a cone is sliced parallel to the base then the shape produced is a circle. If the cone is sliced at an angle so that the cut goes completely through the cone then an ellipse is produced. If the cut is made perpendicular to the cone's base then the shape produced is a parabola.
