Runoff is water flowing over land that carries particles of sediment.
It is primarily bcause runoff from the rain washes sediment into the river.
Much of this phosphate then concentrates in marine sediment. Some of the phosphate is eventually incorporated into the bodies of marine animals such as fish.
other soils have a poor resistance to erosion. A slope can increase the affects of erosion, obviously, because it increases speed, and destruction of the runoff and sediment.
Surface runoff and Subsurface runoff. Basically, above ground and below ground
Rain.

Mass movement and runoff.
Runoff
Runoff is water flowing over land that carries particles of sediment.
The sediment is washed into the sea by runoff from the land, especially by rivers and streams. Most of this sediment does not travel very far offshore before settling.
RUNOFF
First the water will rain down, causing runoff, and the runoff water will carry dirt and sediment with it, causing a stream to form overtime as the runoff trail keeps on indenting into the ground.
Most sediment washes or falls into the river as a result of mass movement and runoff. Other sediment erodes from the bottom or sides of the river
It is primarily bcause runoff from the rain washes sediment into the river.
Runoff from rain and runoff from melting snow (which is NOT the same as glacial runoff).
the runoff means's the same thing as ground water
