BRAHMA - THE HINDU GOD OF CREATION:In Hinduism, Brahma is known as the god of creation.
THE FACTUAL ROLE OF BRAHMA IN HINDUISM:
To understand the role of Brahma in Hinduism, we must know the seven basic Hindu gods.
THE SEVEN BASIC HINDU GODS:
They are,
1. Indra / feet - the god of dreaming
2. Shakti / ankles - the god of illusion
3. Brahma / hip - the god of creativity
4. Vishnu / abdomen - the god of stabilization of life
5. Shiva / chest - the god of determination
6. Shani / neck - the god of status increase
7. Yama /head - the god of compulsion.
Of the seven gods the first three and a half gods abolish actions and the second three and a half gods facilitate actions.
Indra abolishes actions to the highest extent and Yama facilitates actions to the highest extent.
1. Indra - keeps us in a world of day dreams
2. Shakti - creates an illusion that we are strong and satisfied. He/She just enables us to look for opportunities in the real world.
3. Brahma - is the negative half of Vishnu. Thus, he can't enable us to act.
Thus, actions executed with Brahma force are blocked and such actions are modified repeatedly with the hope that, in the modified form, the thought would lead to action.
Thus, Brahma is the god of data creation and his counterpart Saraswati the goddess o knowledge.
Since Brahma abolishes actions to the least extent, compared to Indra and Shakti, he is more materialistic than these two.
Thus, Brahma in the form of Lingam (He corresponds to hip of Purusha and thus the genital region) acts as the brake of the Shiva as supreme Hindu god.
Thus, the powers of Brahma are,
1. After our life is devastated and all of our options are exhausted, it is Brahma, with his creativity enables us to start a new life, which is symbolically known as creation.
2. Since he abolishes actions to the least extent he, in the form of Lingam, is the brake of formless Shiva as supreme Hindu god.
3. He is the god most suited for scientists.
