Conifers resemble flowering plants in having seeds and well developed vasculature
The subkingdom of bananas is Tracheobionta. This is a large group of vascular plants that include flowering plants, ferns, conifers, and the like.
non flowering plants reproduce from spores and some of the oldest plants are on earth
Gymnosperms (conifers and other cone bearing plants) are a non-flowering plant group that do not reproduce via spore
Gymnosperms are non-flowering seed bearing plants. Examples are: Conifers Spruce Pine Cycas Cycad
A pine cone is not the product of an angiosperm. A pine tree is classified as a gymnosperm. The pine cone would be the seed.
Conifers and flowering plants are the same because many conifers are flowering plants. They are very woody plants with more than half producing flowers.

Conifers are different to flowering plants because conifer reproduce with seed cones. The pollen come out of the male cone and fertilises the ovule or female cone. Conifers are also different because the have needle like leaves but I'm not sure if that's relevant... Any way, I hope this has helped. You might have to do a bit more research. Conifers also have naked seeds, whereas flowering plants have their seeds encased in flesh (fruit). Although some conifers like the plum pines also have fruit. Also flowering plants have... flowers. And non flowering plants don't. But I thought that was obvious.
Conifers and flowering plants both produce seeds, but they are classified as completely different types of plants. While conifers are always trees (although some may appear to be shrubs), flowering plants can be trees, succulents and even grasses. However, there are several specific differences between the two that scientists use to tell them apart if there is ever any doubt.
