Both are conformed by the building blocks (atoms) that compose the universe. However, an element is the most basic form of matter, including oxygen (O), nitrogen (N), carbon (C) or hydrogen (H). Compounds on the other hand, are substances made of several atoms bonding together, such as water (H2O), methane (CH4) and even the naturally occurring forms of elements, such as "free oxygen" (O2) and "free nitrogen" (N2).
I'm pretty sure that an element is just a singular thing like say Hydrogen, or Selenium, than a compound is where you combind elemts like coming out with H2O
elements make up compounds
They are both pure substances.
A compound word for alike could be copycat.
A substance in which all atoms are identical is called an element.
It is an element or a compound, it belongs to the order of pure matter.
It is compound not an element.
Lime is a compound.
You get a mixture of an element and a compound.
element. Sulfur dioxide (SO2) is a compound
Is gasoline a element a mixture or a compound
KCl is a compound not an element.
Beryllium is an element. It is not a compound
cornstarch is a compound element.
You get a mixture of an element and a compound.
