gangs are negative for more than one reason. They can get you into a lot of trouble and not have your back for it. They can convince you to commit a murder or take your life. It put your family in danger or friends. It is not easy to get out and you will be on the record so it will be harder for you to get a job or even get a place to stay.

How can street gangs affect the economy?
I think gangs can have a positive and or a negative affect on the economy. They can have a positive affect when they're creating their organization to be positive & do positive things for their communities, such as creating recreation centers, or creating fund raisers to raise money for the poor, u know just doing positive stuff, not going around fighting, and shooting, and killing each other. The thing is, there are a lot of gangs out there that started out as a positive organization that did all that type of stuff, but later started to turn into a criminal organiztaion. Many of these so called ''gang members'' nowdays don't understand the true meaning of ''gang bangin'', gangs are supposed to be positive not negative.
