Homeopathic medicines are prepared by taking a solution of the concentrated ingredient and diluting it many times. Vigorous shaking of the preparation is vital at each stage of dilution. Each stage is known as potency and homeopathic medicines at the 6th centesimal potency are used for treating minor ailments.

The problem with this is that 6th centesimal potency, which has received six succussions, has a concentration of one part in a thousand billion (1 in 1,000,000,000,000). What this means is that there may only be one or two molecules--if that--left in the solution. In my opinion a homeopathic medication is just water.
