Homeopathic medicines are prepared by taking a solution of the concentrated ingredient and diluting it many times. Vigorous shaking of the preparation is vital at each stage of dilution. Each stage is known as potency and homeopathic medicines at the 6th centesimal potency are used for treating minor ailments.

The problem with this is that 6th centesimal potency, which has received six succussions, has a concentration of one part in a thousand billion (1 in 1,000,000,000,000). What this means is that there may only be one or two molecules--if that--left in the solution. In my opinion a homeopathic medication is just water.

Homeopathic medicine is made by taking a drug or herb that produces the symptom that you are trying to get rid of, diluting it with water, taking a drop of that water and diluting it with water, then taking a drop of that water and diluting it with water, and so proceeding until the resulting "solution" is overwhelmingly unlikely to contain even a single molecule of the original drug or herb.

Homeopathy system of medicine treats the person who is diseased . The homeopath physician needs a detailed understanding of who you are, along with details of any complaints and how you experience them. The physician Identifies those features of the illness, which are most peculiarly belonging only to that person, so as to be able to identify the required medicine for the patient. As a result, a detailed enquiry of the patient's complaints including his physical & mental symptoms is absolutely necessary. This process is called the case study. The more your homoeopath knows about you, the more easily will he or she be able to treat you effectively.
