Laws are made in a democracy by people that the voters have selected to represent them. If the voters are unhappy with what their representatives do, they can remove them from the job and put someone else in their place.
the people of the country vote for a Governor that thy trust and if a law needs to be made people can contact the government and say what they would like to happen. and eventually the decision would be made.
In the United States, this is the function of the legislative branch, who make the Laws and statutes, which are carried out by the Executive ( including the President) and overseen by the Judicial- the Supreme Court being the final arbiter here. In some cases there is direct citizen input in such things as what are popularily called Initiative and Referendum, or I&R. Two cases I am aware of were the legalization of Gambling in Atlantic City, and the repeal of the sunday closing Blue Laws in Hudson County, both of which were decided by the voting populace in referendums- the tracks having been cleared beforehand by politicians. It is sad that this device- which puts democracy in Direct Drive of the citizen in the voting booth, is not used more often! It is rarely used in major policy decisions.
In a representative democracy, laws arise in a legislature whose members represent the general population. The legislature than votes on those laws. If the representative democracy is a parliamentary democracy, the law passes if the majority of those present in the legislature approve the law. If the representative democracy is a presidential republic or semi-presidential republic, the law, if approved by the legislature, will pass to the president who has the ability to sign or veto the law.
(the people vote directly to pass laws and policies) A+
Direct democracies have police forces and an executive branch, generally speaking. The "direct" aspect of it refers to the passage of laws, not the execution of them.
elected representatives i believe
In an indirect democracy, eligible citizens vote for representatives who vote for decisions on their behalf.

In an indirect democracy, decisions are made through elected representatives who act on behalf of the people. These representatives gather input from their constituents, debate legislative proposals, and ultimately vote on laws and policies. The decision-making process involves a balance between representing the will of the people and using their own judgment and expertise.
In a direct democracy, citizens directly vote for all decisions made by the government. In an indirect democracy, they vote for representatives who, in turn, vote for decisions.
No, the United States does not have a pure democracy. It is a democratic republic where citizens elect representatives to make decisions on their behalf. This system allows for a balance between direct democracy and representative democracy.

Laws and decisions are made in a Dictatorship by a centralized individual. This is also known as the dictator.
It was a direct democracy, that is the decisions were made by the assembly of the adult male citizens, who met fortnightly and dealt with problems and submissions by the Council, which then implemented them.
It was direct democracy - the citizens in assembly made the decisions. Ours is representative democracy - elected parliamentarians make decisions in parliament, not necessarily the ones we want.
