∙ 7y agoDespite belonging to different classes, salamanders and lizards generally have a similar body plan: a long body, a long, fleshy tail, and short legs that stick out to the side. They share this body plan with corcodilians and the tuatara. It is the same basic arrangement found on the first vertebrates to live on land.
