through numerous shelters, zoos, and sanctuaries, a large number of which engage in reproductive programs to help the notoriously difficult panda reproductive process (in vitro, etc) to produce as many as is possible. there are also strict laws protecting wild pandas.
in a feature article I read it says that about 2 million people had lined up just to see pandas ever since they went public last January. Pretty cool right?
