Plant and animal tissues are made up of hundreds of thousands of plant and animal cells (respectively).

A plant cell is made up of many of the same components as an animal cell...but have some distinct and crucial differences.

The biggest differences between the two is the presence of a cell wall, a cell membrane, a central vacuole and chloroplasts in a plant cell, and the absence of the aforementioned in an animal cell. :)
