When the number of electrons and neutrons are the same, it means that the number of protons will also be the same amount. For example a nitrogen atom has 7 electrons and 7 neutrons, this means that the number of protons will also be 7.

They are not. Neutrons are much larger and more massive than electrons and have no charge whereas electrons are much smaller and have a negative charge. Neutron are found in the nucleus of an atom and electrons are found "orbiting" the nucleus.
