Karma, rebirth, Moksha is a cycle. Normally we live and we perform certain actions or Karma. These actions are recorded and they return to us. However, the actions are not settled in our lifetime, therefore there is no other way to settle it than rebirth. Suppose I kill millions of people, and I die. How do I pay for it because the body returns to dust! For me to pay for that sin, I have to take rebirth. And therefore, this cycle goes on and on and on. How do we escape from the cycle? Through self-realization… that I am not this body, nor am I the body or ego, I am the Divine Soul. This is Moksha, Nirvana, Salvation, unification with the Divine.
