When a child's mother passes, it is always a difficult thing to go through and the child may never get over it completely but if they have the right guidance in their life then they will know that their mother is in a better place looking over them and she is happy. They should also understand that though their mother is not always there with them physically, she will be mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Now when a child's mother abandons them, it tends to be alot different. The child will never have that closure of knowing that their mother is happy. The child may also think that their mother does not love them leading into thoughts that it is their fault for their mother leaving which can cause serious mental or emotional problems such as guilt or even something as serious as severe depression.
