you overuse forests by cutting them down and not replanting trees. You do not overuse if the rate of use=to the rate of replenishment.

Yes..I agree because we can prevent destruction to happen by coping up demolished trees by replanting trees.
Commercial logging is the harvest of timber from forests with the intent to sell the product. Iqra :P

It is unlikely that all the forests will ever be gone. Much of the world is covered with forests, and even though some of these have been over-harvested, in many countries there are requirements for replanting trees after logging. The forests continue to grow and to renew themselves as well.

Gold is less valuable than Topsoil. Yet Gold is now valued more than Topsoil, and Forests. I'd rather ask "How does selective logging protect Forests?"
The main reason why forests are under threat is because of logging. Logging is where Loggers cut down trees for timber, they then take the timber away and uses it for makig tables, chairs, etc.
