pipe bending is a method to enhance the fabrication capabilities of pipe work and plumbing fixtures
Yes! I have used these many times for a Quest pipe repair. The cut on the pipe must be de-burred and not have any sharp edges that might damage the Orings of the Sharkbite fitting. Source: Me, a Master Plumber
Pipe bending is occasionally used in plumbing work but mostly it is used in hydraulic applications. It is also used in automotive arenas where space is limited.
pipe insulation have very low value of thermal conductivity. this is because of the air pockets or pores present in insulation or bad heat conducting elements such as glass...Most decent pipe insulation works by wrapping the pipe inside a mass of tiny air bubbles. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Air is the insulation in almost all the available insulation's. It is important that the bubbles are very tiny as bubbles over 16mm will start a convection current that will transfer the heat across the cell. The problem with insulation is, it only slows the transfer of heat. Given time all the heat in a pipe will transfer through the insulation and the pipe will freeze. It is important that all exposed pipes and any pipes that are below freezing for some time are fitted with electrical ribbon heating to maintain their temperature above freezing.
I have used PEX pipe for over 12 years and believe it to be the best domestic pipe there is. Way more efficient, reliable and easier to work with than copper.
You didn;t say what you wanted the PVC pipe for. That is a material that is used for many project, plumbing, sprinklers to name a few. It is fairly eary to work with.
Sounds like it's worth trying, -good idea .
A soil pipe is a vertical pipe that is part of a plumbing system and is used to carry waste materials from toilets and other plumbing fixtures to the sewage system or septic tank. It works by using gravity to allow waste to flow downwards and out of the building. The soil pipe is connected to the toilet's drain and is designed to prevent the escape of foul odors and gases.
Every building has a "stink pipe." Usually located on the roof these pipes vent air to allow the plumbing drains inside the building to work correctly. As water flows into a plumbing drain pipe, air is vented out of the drain through the "stink pipe." The pipe that goes from the bottom of the back of your toilet, up the side of your house to let any gases produced by the waste escape into the air instead of bubbling back up through your toilet and sticking up your house.
PEX pipe crimp rings will work. Need proper tool to crimp new rings.
Same as all other plumbing in civilized countries
PVC pipe fittings are typically used in plumbing. Therefore, if a damaged drainage line needs to be repaired with a new PVC pipe fitting, typically a plumber would be the type of professional required to perform the work.
