There are many species of monkey and each one has its own ranges in adult sizes. This ranges from the pygmy marmoset of South American rain forests, which grow to around six inches at most (not including the tail, which is generally longer than the rest of the body), to the mandrill of equatorial Africa, which grow up to three feet and can weigh close to 80 pounds (35 kilograms).
