The striped bass (also called striper or rockfish) are mainly an ocean species that spawns in freshwater rivers. Many populations exist of landlocked stripers, stocked for recreational fishing in many big lakes, especially in the southern United States.
I assume you mean freshwater species, so, here you go. Most states have a 14 inch minimum for largemouth, 12 for smallmouth and spotted bass. The above are actually just big sunfish. For true basses, the striped bass has a 16 inch minimum. The yellow and white basses have no minimum size in most areas. As always, however, catch and release ensures plenty of sport for future generations, so let them go after catching them.
It is a panfish that usually only grows up to 12 inches but it is not seen very often. They have stripes like a striped bass and like a hybrid but both stripes go in pattern. First striped bass stripes then hybrid stripes and so on.
Stripers can be anywhere from 5 to 65 pounds. they usually are much bigger out abit to sea but ive caught 40-50 pounders shore fishing
Well, freshwater and saltwater stripers can get HUGE! We're talking 55 inches and close to 60lbs. The only thing is that those monster bass are more common in saltwater, but in freshwater, some people have caught one that big.

There are many great places to catch a big bass fish. Places like, Lake George in Florida, Clear Lake in California, Lake Champlain in New York, and Lake Mead in Nevada.
Striped bass are very big for a game fish that lives in both salt and fresh water, and lives in both the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. It can weigh 10 pounds or more and reach several feet in length. Originally striped bass just lived in the Atlantic Ocean, but, some people took some bass and released them in the Pacific Ocean, when they soon grew in numbers. They were released in the Pacific Ocean, because they are extremely popular game fish in the Atlantic side, and they thought, correctly, they would be a popular game fish on the Pacific side of the USA.
It depends on type of bass. A small mouth... 2-3lbs.12" or longer large mouth...4-6lbs.18"or longer. rock bass are smaller 8"to 10"would be big. These are nice size, but will get much bigger. Striped & sea bass I'm not real sure. Hope you catch & release. Take a picture with a tape measure. Good luck on the water. Answer #2 Largemouth Bass 5lbs or bigger....

A Big bass is a very rare fish which you stand a very low chance of catching whilst fishing regular Bass. Big bass is not tradeable and has no use apart from being stuffed and mounted in your house.
